Ball Lightning

When we come to wanting to work with something like lightning, we actually want it to seek out different things in the world and stick to them. We want it to feel like you are actually in control of that lightning, not just plastered on top. So, what we've been working on are kind of behavior systems where you model the behavior of the lightning and how it should work and then those systems get put into our effects. – John Kent

Alpha-2 Mage skill:

• Templated skill: Yes.
• Mana: 25.
• Cooldown: 15s.
• Charges: This ability is not able to be charged up.

Base skill

Creates a large ball of highly charged electricity that travels slowly forward, dealing rapid periodic lightning damage to enemies it overlaps with and applying 1 Electrified stack to targets with each hit.

Elemental empowerment

Skill	Icon	Description
Elemental Empowerment		Whenever you cast an elemental spell, your weapon combo finishers apply a stack of Burning, Chilled, or Volatile to targets hit, based on the current empowered element. Casting a spell of another element changes your current Elemental Empowerment to that element.
