Ladder system
Ladder system is a seasonal-based achievement system in Ashes of Creation. This may refer to:[1]
Guild ladder
An inter-guild ladder will rank guilds based on their performance within competitive activities:[2][3]
When the guild participates in guild wars or they participate in sieges, you'll be able to climb the ranks of your inter-guild ladder as well so you get bragging rights amongst your friends.[3] – Steven Sharif
Arena ladder
The arena ladder system records a player's progress within PvP seasons based on their arena win/loss ratios.[4][10]
- Titles can be received from arena play.[11]
- Other rewards will be revealed at a later time.[12]
- Arena points that can be used to buy gear is not currently in the design.[11]
Node government titles
Positions within a node's government are attained through seasonal titles that grant special powers and benefits within the node.[5][6][7][8]
There are other node-based positions. Most of them relate to social organizational structures like the temple and the social organization building that the node might construct. Those are ladder systems of achievement that players can work through on a seasonal basis to achieve the highest level of that for the particular node; and by doing so they will then have titles bestowed upon them, which grants certain types of powers and benefits.[5] – Steven Sharif
- Mayors.[14]
- Priests, bishops, or acolytes of temples.[5][15][7]
- Social organization positions.[5]
- Patron guild leaders.[7]
- Chief bounty hunter.[7]
Social organizations are going to have questlines that players participate in which some will include sabotage, espionage, intrigue... While it's not necessarily player versus player in the combat sense, it is player versus player in pitting communities in those organizations against each other in a competitive atmosphere, where only some things can be accomplished by certain communities; and not everybody can succeed at a particular task. So, I think that that's a unique way to involve meaningful conflict that doesn't necessarily have to relate to PvP, because obviously we have a lot of PvP systems in the game and and there are many ways for players to participate in player versus player combat; but we also want to make sure that from a progression standpoint, from a system standpoint there are going to be abilities of individuals to follow these questlines, these tasks that will pit organizations against each other, specifically from an organizational standpoint.[18] – Steven Sharif
- A szervezetek elérhetővé tesznek augmentációkat.
You're gonna see arguments being used a lot throughout a lot of our systems. When we're talking about the guild system, when we're talking about social organizations, when we're talking about religions. A lot of those things are going to affect how and what you have available to augment your skills with.[19] – Jeffrey Bard
Leader boards
Players will be able to opt-in to track certain achievements on leaderboards, such as.[20]
- Dungeons completed.[20][21]
- Razziák completed.[20][21]
- Pvp kills.[20]
- Lakókocsik raided.[20]
- Összegyűjtése activity.[20]
Leaderboards may be seasonal.[21]
- We have many dreams that we want to do with game-to-web and game-to-mobile in regards to showing stats and being making things shareable for you. We know how social media works; how sharing content with friends works. But those things will come in due time.[20] – Margaret Krohn
PvP seasons
Performance in various Pvp systems (such as Lakókocsik, Arénák, Guild Wars) is measured over the course of 6 month PvP seasons. At the end of each season, a player's cumulative score may unlock various rewards.[4][23]
- Gear enhancement rewards.[23]
- Achievement ranks.[23]
- Purchasing power (Currency).[23]
- Potentially more granular player health bars.[24]
Metrics
Ashes of Creation gathers tracking data to facilitate achievements, titles and other accolades on a server.[25]
- Number of successful siege defenses.[25]
- Number of successful siege assaults.[25]
- Number of Pvp kills.[26][25]
- Number of Pvp deaths.[26]
- Raid participation points.[25]
- Number of firsts.[25]
Visibility of those types of things on the server help to promote a competitive atmosphere. If there is an attainable impression that you can work towards, so that others know your success, you have more drive to succeed.[25] – Steven Sharif
World history
Minden szerver történelme fel lesz jegyezve, és látható lesz a játékosok számára.[27]
We're gonna keep track of the history of the world so that we can tell people the story up to the current day. A player who's brand new, who's come in at the six-month mark can take a look at each server, what each server has done, how each server has tackled the storyline; and they can decide for themselves what community they want to join; what version of the world that they want to take part in.[27] – Jeffrey Bard
Memory fragments
Server-firsts within a server's story arc will be able to be captured and collected on memory fragments that players can collect in-game so they may relive their experiences.[28]
- We're going to leverage tech that captures at the moment when something server-first is done in the story arc; and those will be recorded on these memory fragments that players can collect within the game through their experiences and relive potentially.[28] – Steven Sharif
Libraries
At Village (színpad 3) the academic node's unique building is the Library.[29]
- Information about the world will be presented directly to players through the world map UI.[30] Previously the Library was used to access information about the world, such as the history of significant narrative events, locations of gatherable resources, dungeons, and POIs.[29]
- In the past we talked about having a library that was capable of facilitating players exchanging information for map data like that, but we've moved a little bit more in a direction of just presenting that information up front to the player, because travel is such a meaningful portion of the game and we don't have fast travel. So, I think that for Alpha-2 what's planned is that we're going to be showcasing the intricate details of services offered at these node locations from just a UI presentation standpoint within the map.[30] – Steven Sharif
Players can use the Library to access information, including (but not limited to) the following:[29]
